Symposium Schedule and Driving Instructions 

Important Travel Arrangements:

** If you are flying to the Symposium - please note: The Keck Geology Consortium has arranged for Suzanne Easterling at Flair Travel to make all the flight and car rental arrangments **

Please contact Suzanne at suzanne@flairtravel.com or (330) 264-6505 to make your flight reservations. Budgets are very tight and Suzanne will try to obtain the best deals on flights. She will also be coordinating car rentals from Hartford (Bradley International) to Smith College.

You may not be the only person from your institution traveling to the Symposium so talk to your Project Director and/or department faculty before making travel arrangements.

Please note: There is no guarantee that you will be reimbursed for your travel if you make your own flight arrangements. The Consortium will not reimburse any travel costs to the airport of departure.

Air travel:

We recommend that people plan to fly to Bradley International Airport (BDL) in Hartford, CT/Springfield, MA. The airport is a 45-60 minute drive from Smith College.

Driving:

If you are within driving distance of Smith College please carpool when possible.

Tentative Schedule:

Thursday, April 17th. Arrive. Keck reps meeting will happen in the evening. All others have free time. Dinner will be on participants’ own.

Friday, April 18th. Field trip to see local geology. Box lunches. Dinner with all Keck participants. After Dinner - Project meetings.

Saturday, April 19th. Symposium, lunch, and evening banquet and speaker.

Sunday, April 20th. Departure.
